This Italian bread is great to enjoy with any dip or even use it to make a delicious sandwich. I love to enjoy it with olive oil, thick balsamic and parmesan cheese!

Yields1 Serving
Ingredients:
 3 cups Plain flour
 1 tsp Sugar
 1 tsp Salt
 1 tbsp Instant yeast
 2 tsp Anise seeds
 2 tsp Dried oregano (optional)
 1 tsp Dried mint (optional)
 1 ½ cups Warm water
 2 tbsp Olive oil
Save for later:
 1 tbsp Flour to sprinkle on dough before baking
Directions:

Preheat oven to 400°F or 210°C.

Mix cups of flour with all dry ingredients in a large bowl. Save tbsp of flour for later.

Add warm water and olive oil and mix with wooden spoon. Dough should stay a bit sticky.

Remove dough from bowl and shape into a circle and sprinkle with remaining flour.

Place dough into any baking tray you have lying around in your kitchen and cover with a kitchen cloth.

Let dough rise and double in size. About 45 minutes.*

Let's bake it:

Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown from the outside.

* Let dough rise in a warm place or it will take more than 45 minutes.
