This Orange Chicken will take your breath away! Crispy fried chicken covered in an authentic orange sauce, a lot better than take-out.

Yields1 Serving
Ingredients:
 2 Boneless chicken breasts
 ¼ cup Flour
 ½ cup Cornflour / Cornstarch
Pinch of salt and black pepper
 Oil for frying
Orange sauce:
 ½ cup Orange juice
 ¼ cup Sugar
 1 tbsp Soy sauce*
 1 tbsp White vinegar
 1 Garlic clove, finely diced
 1 tsp Cornflour / Cornstarch
 2 tsp Water
 1 tsp Orange zest
Garnish:
 ¼ tsp Sesame seeds
Let's start with the sauce:
1

In a pot, add orange juice, sugar, soy sauce, white vinegar and garlic. Cook for 5 minutes on low heat.

2

In a small bowl, whisk 1 tsp of cornflour / cornstarch with 2 tsp of water to form a paste.

3

Add to orange sauce and whisk together. Continue to cook for another 5 minutes, until the mixture begins to thicken. Once the sauce is thickened, remove from heat and add orange zest.

Let's fry and prepare the chicken:
4

Cut the chicken breasts into big cubes. Season with salt and black pepper.

5

Mix flour and cornflour / cornstarch in a small bowl.

6

Dip chicken pieces in flour mixture. Place on plate.

7

Add enough oil into a frying pan and place on medium high heat.

8

Working in batches, cook several chicken pieces at a time. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes, turning often until golden brown.

9

Mix fried chicken with orange sauce. You may serve with white rice or vegetables.

10

Sprinkle with sesame seeds and enjoy.
